About Ken Childs

As an avid racing fan from the first time I attended my local short track, I've been around the sport since the age of four, and with my work with RaceRap.com, I've been around the track almost every weekend from March until November.

I'm a graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan College with degrees in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems. While there, I worked full time in the college's IT department, maintaining servers, and doing web and network design.

After graduating from NCWC in 2001, I began work in Duke University's Department of Anesthesiology as a server administrator. While there, I've redone how data within the department is handled, as well as create web applications to handle attendance tracking and work flow.

In 2005, I began work for RaceRap.com, the #1 website for short track racing in the southeast. While most sites and reporters concentrate on only one class or division, I've spent the last five years getting a feel for divisions from UCARs right through to NASCAR Late Model Stocks, Whelen Modifieds, and everything in between.
